File transfer
I can receive files as attachments in a variety of formats. If you want to
send large files by e-mail you might consider zipping them. I use
Power-Archiver to unzip and can also cope with a variety of other archiving
and compression formats such as LHA,
TAR, TAR.GZ, TAR.BZ2, BH, ARJ, RAR, ARC,
ACE, ZOO and GZ.BZIP2

- I can receive text files in Word, LaTeX, HTML and PDF
- Data
- I can receive data files
in a variety of formats:
- spreadsheet files (xls,
wks, wk1);
- common statistics programs
including
SPSS, SAS (the old XPORT format, not the newer CPORT format),
S-Plus, R, Epi-Info .rec files;
- comma-separated values (.csv);
- fixed format.
- I can retrieve information
from Access databases, although
not create them.
If in doubt just ask.
I can also read CD-ROM, DVD, and
a variety of solid state
discs (Compact Flash and similar).
I can also download files by ftp.
